Angela is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), the Society of Sports Therapists (SST) and the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT).
She graduated in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Acupuncture in 2013 from the renowned Northern College of Acupuncture (NCA) in York and has been working as a Sports Therapist since 2000. Since graduating in TCM Acupuncture she has further trained to deliver specialist Acupuncture treatments for Fertility, Addictions, Pain Management and Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture. She also holds qualifications as a Nordic Walking Instructor and as a Qi Bowen practitioner and teaches Qi Gong, an important aspect of Chinese medicine, to the Acupuncture students at NCA, York.
She has extensive knowledge of treating muscular-skeletal conditions and has worked with semi-professional football teams, the GB Canoe and Kayak team and the Australian Institute of Sport at their European Training Centre in Italy and has treated European, World and Olympic champions and athletes.
Her approach to treatment has always been holistic, looking at every aspect of a person’s life, such as nutrition – which Angela is passionate about – exercise, relaxation, work-life balance.
Angela is a keen runner, running half, full marathons and the odd ultramarathon! She balances her running activities with meditation, Qi Gong and Tai Chi.
